Hartford police are investigating the body found in an apartment as a homicide.
The body of a 59-year-old woman was discovered at 76 Main Street Saturday evening.
Police have not released the name of the woman. The State's attorney and medical examiner's officer are working with Hartford police to determine the cause of death. Police say they it is not expected that the cause of death will be released until Monday.
This would be the first homicide of 2013 in Hartford.
