Four people were injured Sunday evening in an accident on Route 68 and Barnes Road in Wallingford.
Police got the call at 4:16 p.m., and said it was a head on collision between two cars, one of them going the wrong way.
According to investigators, a man was driving in one car and the other vehicle was carrying a man and two children.
All four victims were taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital. The man traveling alone is in serious condition.
The roadway is still closed as police investigate the cause of the crash.
