Suffield and State Police are investigating after discovering a women that had been beaten and sexually assaulted in her home in Suffield.
Police received a 911 call around midnight and immediately responded to a home on Thrall Ave. When they arrived they were unable to get a response from inside the home.
Police forced their way inside after seeing a woman lying on the floor through a window. The woman was visibly wounded and terrified when police located her.
The victim told police that she had been sexually assaulted by an unknown intruder. The victim was transported to a local hospital. She was alert and talking with detectives.
The victim described the suspect as a white male aged 25 to 40, tall with a muscular build. He was wearing a gray hoodie covered by a red flannel shirt, jeans, work boots, ski mask and black gloves.
The suspect also had a gun.
