Two men are behind bars after the CT State Police Computer Crimes Unit arrested them on charges of possession of child pornography.
Timothy Nagle, 43 of Manchester, was arrested and charged with First Degree Illegal Possession of Child Porn, Promoting a Minor in an Obscene Performance and obscenity.
Nagel was arrested after a near four-year long investigation by state police that started in Sept. 2009. Nagle is due in court on May 7.
State Police also arrested Matthew Gallant, 26 of Simsbury. Gallant was charged with Third Degree Illegal Possession of Child Porn and Promoting a minor in an Obscene Performance.
In October 2009, State police executed a search warrant at Gallant’s residence and seized a number of items . They discovered a number of files of suspected child pornography that were in Gallant’s possession.
Gallant turned himself in after learning there was an active arrest warrant out for him. He was released on $25,000 bond and is due in court on May 7.
According to State Police, the arrests are not connected in any way.
