Bridgeport police are investigating an apparent carjacking and shooting.
A 22-year old woman who had been shot in the leg was found shortly before 11 p.m. on Tuesday, near Beardsley Park, according to police.
Police said the victim told detectives she was carjacked, then taken to the park, where she was assaulted and shot.
The victim was treated for her injuries at a nearby hospital.
Bridgeport and state police are investigating.
There is no description of the assailant and no one has been taken into custody.
