Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a fire in Beacon Falls that forced two families out of their home.
The fire started in a bedroom in a two-family home on South Main Street around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officials said.
Crews were able to quickly get the flames under control, but two people inside were taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The Red Cross is helping the two families until they can return home.
