The man killed in Bridgeport's 11th homicide of the year has been identified as 29-year-old Karlhenry Gay of Brooklyn, according to police.
Police said Gay was shot and killed in the area of Sedgewick Street and North Avenue just after 3 a.m. Sunday. Officers arrived at the scene to find him lying outside the restaurant Main Port Fish & Chips. Police said he had been shot once in the head.
Gay was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police.
Police said Gay was involved in an altercation with several other people before he was shot.
Police are actively investigating the fatal shooting.
