Tomorrow, New Haven Mayor John DeStefano will announce that he will not seek an 11th term as the city’s mayor, ending his streak as the longest serving mayor of the city.
The New Haven Independent reports that DeStefano, accompanied by his family, will be making the announcement tomorrow at 5 p.m. at The Russian Lady where he held many election night victory parties.
According to The New Haven Independent, since DeStefano won his first term in 1993, no one has won more than 45-percent of the vote against him.
