Motorcycle Driver Seriously Injured

A 19-year-old motorcycle driver was seriously injured after being struck by a car in Moosup Sunday afternoon, police said.

According to Plainfield police, Jeremy Mack, of 8 Mortimer Road in Moosup, was riding his motorcycle around 4:30 p.m. when he was hit by a car pulling out of a driveway at 115 Goshen Road.

Mack sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital. Police said he was wearing a helmet, but it came off during the crash.

The car's driver, 17-year-old Nathan St. Jean, of 57 Black Hill Road in Central Village, was not injured, police said.

Police are investigating.
